We all have too many bills to pay. Here’s a story of a company that turned the bill paying process into a marketing opportunity.
I was talking to a colleague the other day and he told me of a story about a computer training company that was looking for innovative ways to market itself. After a series of brainstorming meetings, it was the accounts department that realised that they were mailing a number of suppliers every month with remittance advice notices and/or cheques but that few of these suppliers were clients. Therefore, they decided to always include one of their OWN brochures, newsletters or business cards in every bill they now pay.
The result has been that all kinds of suppliers have called about their training and a large number have now become happy customers.
