September 30, 2010Inspired by Seth’s blog post yesterday on Five rules for your About page, where he talked about essential elements for your About page. I reviewed mine and found a couple of things lacking.
One, was a way to contact me from the page. Done.
The other which was so obvious but not there was some testimonials/words from clients. What I realised was that our About pages are not just about what we say about ourselves but also about what others say about us. Obvious, I now realise.
So, anyway, here’s what I have now added to the About page.
Often, it’s not what I say about myself that matters but more important is what others say about me. Here’s a few words from some people that I have worked with (these are from Linked In) and there are some more here:

Hi Adrian, I too liked Seth’s post and it’s a good point getting the testimonials on the about page. Nine is burried on a client page.

It was was such a great post that it stopped me in my tracks as I thought about where my testimonials were ‘buried’ much like yours. So simple but great advice.
