January 31, 2011…….every business was built on these principles what sort of world would it be?
Let me give you a bit of background.
Some of you may recall that back in August and September of last year, I asked for your help to get a manifesto published on the ChangeThis website via the Change This: I need your help and The RARE Manifesto – The finishing straight posts.
I am pleased to say that we were successful in getting the manifesto approved for development and I am even more pleased to say that the manifesto is now published. You can download a copy via the new greenish icon in the sidebar or view it below.
Further, I wanted to thank you all for your help in achieving this. I’m really proud of it and the principles that it is advocating.

What if?
My belief if that building a RARE Business starts with the relationships that you have with your people and your customers and the book, RARE Business, covers a number of strategies that can help you start building a customer and people centric business that delivers sustainable growth. This quote from The RARE Manifesto describes the challenge and the possibility that lies ahead of us….
“What if we lived in a world where all companies took care of their existing customers with as much effort as they pursued new customers, where companies were trusted and liked, where doing business with a company was a good experience, where companies and their employees cared about their customers and each other?
What kind of world would that be?
I believe that it is a world that is worth striving for.”

Adrian,
This is a great piece of work that in the right hands and eyes provides excellent guidance. That it is RARE is sad but true. Will it convert more to this way of working? Let’s hope so!

Martin,
Thank you very much. That means a lot from someone with your experience. Yes, I too, am saddened that it is RARE but hopefully it can be a clarion call for a better way of working.

I am excited this morning.
I found your Blog from a comment you made on Danny Brown’s Blog
my clients who follow the principles of superior Customer Service and have developed the “servant” attitude have enjoyed continued growth during these “difficult Times”
Of course it is imperative “I practice what I preach”
Thanks again for sharing your powerful thoughts
Hi Chuck,
Thank you so much for your kind words.
There’s an old idea that rings true throughout this and that is: If you are beautiful on the inside then it allows you to shine on the outside.
Look forward to seeing you back here again soon.
All the best,
Adrian
