In life and business, passion is the great equalizer. It can make up for a lack of experience and knowledge. This is not to suggest that you not need to develop your knowledge or experience…only that until you do, your passion will be interpreted by others as a strong belief in yourself, your mission, and your purpose.
However, let’s be clear. Passion cannot be faked and is different from enthusiasm. There are some old sayings that say “Act enthusiastic and you will become enthusiastic.” Or “Fake it until you make it.” Whilst these sayings do have some merit in generating momentum in certain areas of our lives. Passion is not an act. It is a way of believing, a way of being. It is woven into your cellular structure just as much as your DNA. Passion…real passion for who you are, who you are becoming, where you are, and where you are going, what you believe in, stand for, and would die for…shouts to the world: “I’m here to stay, I’m here to make a difference, I’ll leave my mark in this world. It may take me my entire life, but I won’t give up until my purpose and destiny are realized.”
Who do you know who is passionate about something, or for that matter, anything?
You can see it in their eyes, hear it in their voice and sense it in their behaviour.
How are you doing? Are you in love with where you are, where you’re going, who you’re becoming, and what you’re contributing? Or, are you living like most of the population, with the attitude of, “Same Stuff, Different Day?” If you’re lost, or are losing your passion for life, your business, your career, or a relationship…do whatever is necessary to get it back. Here are a few things to consider and help you find your passion:
What are you passionate about?
